Nexigen Digital has announced the acquisition of Clickhost and SequelWP. Over 3,000 customers from both brands will be transferred to VentraIP and Intaserve.
Co-founder and co-CEO Cheyne Jonstone described the deal as bittersweet but the best for their customers.
“This is not a business-as-usual acquisition for us. Due to personal reasons, the founders feel it is best to put the customers’ needs first, and we are happy to help facilitate this.”
Mr. Jonstone said that this would be unlike any acquisition done in the past.
“We know customers of Clickhost are relatively new to this business, so our first point is to ensure all Clickhost customers know that we will honour their pricing for the next three years – whether they have prepaid or not. And we will do this with the added benefit of around-the-clock customer service and technical support from our award-winning team.”
Mr. Jonstone said the integration would be quick and easy for customers.
“Given that most domain names already use our Synergy Wholesale platform and our proprietary software for migrating customers between hosting servers, we anticipate very little friction and a smooth transition to our platform.”
Nexigen Digital has announced the relaunch of Intaserve today, a brand the company acquired and subsequently retired in 2015.
Intaserve was established in 2001 and was acquired by US-based Hostway Corporation in 2005. Data centre entrepreneur Jonathon Eaves acquired the company in 2012 before Nexigen Digital acquired it in 2015.
The new Intaserve will provide large businesses, ASX-listed corporations, and government departments with innovative digital asset management and brand protection, scalable cloud and DNS, and security and risk management.
Co-founder and co-CEO Cheyne Jonstone said the new Intaserve would use a fresh and innovative approach to acquire market share.
“This is a stale market that lacks serious innovation and competition. We have spent considerable time and resources conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities while leveraging our vast array of existing resources to develop a fresh approach to service delivery that exceeds expectations in the current climate.”
Mr Jonstone said the company had secured Luke Richards, a former executive at CSC Global, MarkMonitor and Melbourne IT, to lead the new business.
“We are excited to have Luke on board. He brings over a decade of experience with leading brands in corporate names and protection. Now, he will be given a clean slate to build a modern competitor backed by Australia’s largest privately owned domain name registrar.”
Regarding the opportunity, Mr Richards said the team Cheyne has assembled is the most capable he has worked with. He looks forward to setting new brand protection and digital asset management standards.
“I’m excited to lead the relaunch of Intaserve, which will redefine the standards of brand protection and digital asset management. With the talented team we’ve assembled and the robust backing of Nexigen Digital, we are poised to deliver innovative solutions that will disrupt the market and provide unparalleled value to our clients.”
Nexigen Digital has announced the acquisition of the Hosting Cloud and Bluefish Hosting brands from WA-based Trigg Networks.
The acquisition will see over 1,000 customers from both brands transferred to its retail arm, VentraIP, and fully integrated by the end of the month.
Co-founder and co-CEO Cheyne Jonstone described the deal as a win for customers.
“Customers of Hosting Cloud and Bluefish Hosting will now have access to our award-winning 100% Australian customer service team, reliable infrastructure, and dozens of new self-service features.”
The Director of Trigg Networks was pleased with the deal.
“As I embark on the next stage of my professional career, I am pleased to hand over my customers to a company with such a strong reputation for outstanding customer service and reliability.”
Mr Jonstone said the integration would be quick and easy for customers.
“Given that most domain names are already using our Synergy Wholesale platform and our proprietary software for migrating customers between hosting servers, we anticipate very little friction and a smooth transition to our platform.”
This announcement comes after another record-breaking year for the Nexigen Digital group, reporting $47M annual revenue for FY23, and the successful launch of the mobile app and loyalty program for retail brand VentraIP.
Nexigen Digital is pleased to announce that its retail digital services brand, VentraIP, has been chosen as the preferred supplier of domain names and web and email hosting services to customers of TPG Telecom (ASX:TPG), who have announced their intention to cease offering these services to some 30,000 existing customers on TPG, iiNet, Internode, and legacy brands Westnet, Adam Internet and Chariot, from the end of October.
VentraIP will perform bulk migrations of .au domain names from TPG’s Westnet and ConnectWest accreditations and will use their extensive experience and in-house technology to perform web hosting and email migrations for customers who opt-in to the seamless transfer experience.
Co-founder and Co-CEO of Nexigen Digital, Cheyne Jonstone, said:
“We’re excited to welcome customers from TPG and their affiliated brands to the VentraIP family, and our team will do their absolute best to ensure that customers who come across to us reap the full benefits of our modern infrastructure, our self-service platform and award-winning local support”.
Mr Jonstone also praised the team at TPG for their efforts in facilitating the arrangement.
“From day one, the team at TPG have been focused on the customer experience and ensuring that the process is as easy and seamless as possible. This vision, coupled with our experience and technical expertise, should result in a positive outcome for all affected customers”.
Nexigen Digital, parent of Australia’s leading web hosting and domain name service provider VentraIP, has today announced the acquisition of Net Virtue, an Adelaide based provider of web hosting, managed WordPress and domain names.
The seven-figure deal will see more than 15,000 clients and 40,000 services migrated under the VentraIP banner, making it their largest acquisition to date.
Co-founder and Co-CEO Angelo Giuffrida said: “We were extremely excited to be presented with this opportunity as Net Virtue has been a strong competitor for many years, and to be able to clinch the deal in the current market is testament to our reputation for providing best-in-class service to our clients and a proven history of providing a smooth transition process.”
“We will continue to honor the legacy of providing the high quality service that Net Virtue has built their reputation on, and expand on that by delivering 24/7 Australian support on industry-leading infrastructure.”
“2020 was a challenge for many businesses, especially small business and sole traders, and in 2021 there will be more businesses online than ever before. We know that those clients don’t want to hear from us about mergers, cost savings that don’t reduce their prices, and continuous promises of better days ahead that are never delivered; they just want to get on with their business, be respected, and get great service – and that’s what we continue to deliver in spades.”
Managing Director of Net Virtue Daniel Webber said: “I’m very proud and grateful of the team that shaped Net Virtue. Starting this business 10 years ago, I never envisaged growing to where we
are today, and I only have the team to thank for that.”
“VentraIP has proven time and again to put the customer first, which was a major factor in the acquisition. With the passion and energy that Cheyne and Angelo have created at VentraIP, I’m certain that our loyal customers will remain in capable hands to receive the best service and support in the industry.”
Nexigen Digital has today announced that they have acquired the business and assets of Digital Eagles Pty Ltd (Administrators Appointed). The deal will see $4.6M in annual contracted digital marketing revenue from leading brands including Bendigo Bank, L’OREAL, Harris Scarfe, Tyrepower, Camp Australia, Toyworld and Facey added to the group.
The acquisition comes just months after the launch of Nexigen Digital’s own digital marketing brand, Circular Media Group, headed by former Executive General Manager of WME (part of the Webcentral Group) Matthew Collins-Leslie, who brings over twenty years of growth, strategy and leadership experience to Nexigen Digital.
Co-founder and Co-CEO Cheyne Jonstone said: “This is a best-case outcome for all stakeholders in the Digital Eagles business, and we look forward to bringing operational stability, sensible management, and an extremely positive outlook for all.”
Mr. Jonstone stated that the company would maintain the Digital Eagles brand alongside Circular Media Group, but relaunch with a fresh, modern look, targeted at small-to-medium size businesses who are at the beginning of their online journey.
General Manager of Digital Marketing Matthew Collins-Leslie said: “It’s not impressive enough to simply have a first page result anymore; customers expect their digital agency to understand the commercial side of their business, and by bringing together Circular Media Group’s web marketing experts and Digital Eagles’ best in class delivery team our customers stand the best chance to have their brand heard and their results delivered.”
