Nexigen Digital, the largest independent web hosting and domain name provider in Australia, has today announced the acquisition of three companies; On A Cloud, SpiderWeb Hosting and Boot Domains. The three companies have more than 1,000 customers and more than 2,400 active services combined.
Nexigen Digital Chief Executive Officer, Angelo Giuffrida, said the acquisitions were signs of continued market consolidation.
“As the market continues to consolidate, we are proud to welcome customers from On A Cloud, SpiderWeb Hosting and Boot Domains to the Nexigen Digital family, and we hope they enjoy the great customer service and technical support offered by our local team”.
He went on to say that acquisitions were once again part of their strategy going forward, with more on the horizon.
“Last year we focussed our efforts on boosting organic growth through an improved online presence in search engines, customer service and technical support insourcing, and updated products and services with higher value margins. This strategy has proven hugely successful with over 35% growth attributed in less than twelve months”.
“These three companies are the first of six acquisitions that we are actively working on, and we hope to have further announcements as we close those deals in the near future”, he said.
Robert K of Spiderweb Hosting said “providing solid hosting service for clients over the past 8 years has been time-consuming but rewarding at the same time. Before losing focus, I have decided to pass the company over to Nexigen Digital knowing that all services and clients will be looked after as I have done by one of the best providers in the industry”.
Tom Maddison of On A Cloud, said “deciding to sell a business isn’t always easy and was not taken lightly, but due to changes in personal circumstances I am unable to devote the time required to provide the high levels of service that customers expect from the Australian Hosting Industry.”
“It is for this reason I chose to approach Nexigen Digital, and after discussions with them I felt very confident that they are the best fit to continue to provide the high levels of services & support the On A Cloud customers have had over the years”, he said.
All three brands will be retired once customers have been merged into VentraIP Australia.
