Nexigen Digital, the largest independent domain name registrar in Australia, has today announced the acquisition of Profound Hosting. Based in South Australia, Profound Hosting has more than 1,500 customers who utilise free and paid hosting services.
Nexigen Digital Chief Executive Officer, Angelo Giuffrida, said it was a testament to his company to be chosen to take on the Profound Hosting customer base.
“Profound Hosting has established a reputation of providing free and paid hosting services to many community groups and micro businesses, with a focus on providing quality service and support, and we intend to continue delivering outstanding service to these customers under the Nexigen Digital brand”.
After more than 5 years in operation the Profound Hosting brand will cease trading as a separate business unit and all existing customers and services will be migrated to VentraIP Australia and the VIPControl customer management interface.
Tim Owen, former owner of Profound Hosting, said he was leaving his business to focus on his young family and his career with Telstra.
While further acquisitions were on the cards, Mr. Giuffrida reaffirmed that his focus for the remainder of the year would be on organic growth.
“We recently launched a brand new range of market-leading web hosting services that has completely changed the game, and after just two weeks on the market we are seeing a 120% increase in take up of web hosting services which has taken us by surprise but initial feedback has been extremely positive and we will build upon that”.
Customers of Profound Hosting will be offered 3 months of free service with VentraIP Australia before needing to move to a paid service.
